KINYON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Track team is right on ... track!

Elementary School's Fifth Grade Track Team worked hard and did a dynamite job.
KINYON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Brady rocks the house
Kinyon
Elmentary School's Choir, led by Jessica Brady, rocked the house May 29. One
song brought tears to every eye in the house.
KINYON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Shoe drive is on!
The
Kinyon Elementary School PTO is running a shoe drive. Donate your gently used
shoes to recycle.
WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL: Evans is big winner with dance to 'Turn Down For What'
On
May 23 West Middle School hosted a talent show.
The
show was narrowed to 11 after over 20 act auditioned.
Mrs.
Dultz, Ms. Bazman and Mrs. Scott served as our "Celebrity Judges"
while Mr. Martin ran sound and played guitar for two of the acts.
Two
student judges were also selected, seventh-grader Hadayah Wright and eighth-grader
Scott Fraser.
After
tallying all of the scores, the third-place winners were Conner Zschunke and
Anthony Williams with "I Hold On" by Dierks Bentley.
Second
place was awarded to Gabe Hubbard, singing "Livin on a Prayer" by Bon
Jovi.
And
the first-place prize went to Morreontae Evans, who danced to "Turn Down
for What" by Lil Jon.

TAYLOR PARKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Home Depot to the rescue!
Home
Depot paid a visit its new community partner, Taylor Parks Elementary School,
to help clean up, spruce up and plant .
As
part of a three-year plan to enhance the outside appearance of the school, Home
Depot in Allen Park along with volunteers in the form of staff, parents and
students worked together to clean leaves, pull weeds and work the soil.
Allison
and Sally from Home Depot Garden Department came with annual flowers, Burning
Bush shrubs, and plenty of mulch. Once done, everyone stood back and
admired a job well done.
