TWO GRADUATING SENIORS among Rotary scholarship winners

The Rotary Club of Taylor recently awarded scholarship to four graduating seniors from the community. Michelle Matney (second from left), who chairs the Rotary scholarship committee, and President Suzanne Downing (at center, a former district principal and director of the Taylor Reading Corps) were joined by (left) Chandra Behr of Kennedy High School; Billy Luc of Trillium Academy; and Zane Dalpiaz of Baptist Park. Not pictured was Margaret Archable of Truman High School. Congratulations to all of this year’s Rotary scholarship winners.

SAFETY TOWN PROGRAM concludes

The 2016 Taylor Police Safety Town Program recently concluded at the Sixth Grade Academy. Two classes of young children (to enter kindergarten in the fall) spent the week learning about proper safety procedures from members of the department, along with selected guest contributors.
