The
students at Myers Elementary School have begun learning about math and how it
relates to art. Students are studying famous artists and using rulers,
protractors and compasses to explore art.

HOLLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL fifth-graders celebrate PBIS
Fifth-grade
students from Mrs. Wensorski's and Mrs. Stewart's class at Holland Elementary
School are celebrating the end of the month reward for positive behavior. Students
are making autumn ornaments to take home.
RANDALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL little ones enjoy parade, candy corn count
Mrs.
Holstein's kindergarten class at Randall Elementary School had a spooky good time
on October 30. They participated in the school “Spooktacular” parade and then had
more fun with hands-on activities in the class, one of which included a candy corn
count project.

Waldo to minions, McDowell Elementary School had it all.
Halloween
turned out great, we all had a ball!
There
were many a superhero, and lots of princesses too.
We
paraded around, smiled and yelled boo!
There
were great parties, yummy food – there was a lot.

SIXTH GRADE ACADEMY'S Harvest Fest fills the halls
Harvest
Fest was a big success at The Sixth Grade Academy!
On
October 27 The Sixth Grade Academy held its First Annual Harvest Fest.
More than 25 community clubs, organizations and businesses had tables
filled with literature, make–and-takes and free items, set up throughout the
hallways.
Nursing
students from The University of Detroit Mercy were on hand during the day and
evening volunteering. In addition the Book Fair was open for families to
purchase items.
The
fest was a great time was enjoyed by students, families and staff. The
academy plans to have another event in the spring – naturally, it’ll be time
for “Spring Fling!”
